Handle With Care PEI || Home

Handle with Care (HWC) is a Canadian, evidence-based course for parents, caregivers, and educators of young children. It promotes positive mental health and well-being using hands-on interactive activities and discussion.

The Early Childhood Development Association is the sponsor for the course in Prince Edward Island.

Fun and Interactive

HWC helps parents and caregivers to promote the positive mental health of children using hands-on, engaging activities, such as, stories, crafts, discussions, videos, and games.

Strengths-Based Approach

Every parent and caregiver wants what is best for their child. HWC is a culturally sensitive course that supports parents and caregivers own strengths, resources, and problem-solving skills.

Flexible

HWC can be adapted to the needs of individuals, groups or communities.

Evidence-Based

HWC has been researched across Canada - including right here in PEI! Many of our communities played a role in the creation and evaluation of the course and activities.
